Pinecrest Plants Native

The Village of Pinecrest is embracing native plant landscaping to restore local ecosystems, support wildlife, and protect against flooding. Resident Charlie Reverte transformed his property into a thriving native habitat, with guidance from Howard Tonkin of Urban Habitat. Together, they demonstrate how native plants not only reduce maintenance and eliminate chemicals, but also provide flood protection, biodiversity, and resilience — contributing to a healthier Biscayne Bay and stronger communities.
